The second week of the Fantasy cricket has seen some intresting developments. Geraint Jefferies still sits at the top of the table, but a massive points haul of 384 for week 2 has seen young Tom Davies move into 2nd place only 1 point behind the leader. 3rd place in the table has been consolidated by Tidur Jones who is 13 points off top spot.
The biggest suprise of the week is that one of the 4 new teams entered last week has moved straight into 14th position in the league. Rhodri Davies's 366 points shows anyone who is yet to enter can still catch up so get your teams in asap.
Updated League table on Fantasy Cricket Page.
I Would just like to make everyone aware that I am trying my best to start getting the results and averages pages sorted, i need to set up a system with the scorers so that i get all the info needed. Please bear with me
After The Opening Week of the Fantasy Cricket Geraint Jeffries has opened up a 30 point lead over John Richards, with 2nd Team Captain Tudur Jones a further 17 point behind. While Holding up the Table with A disapointing 38 points is Byron Davies
We Currently have 19 teams entered but it isn't to late to join the fun, as there are still monthly prizes to play for aswell as the overall prize so please get your teams in asap. There are still plenty of people who havent entered who will be playing on Saturday so get your teams in and support Chris Richards in this great idea.

We are running a fantasy cricket competition within the club this year to raise some funds and to generate a bit of fun within the club.
For information please go to the fantasy cricket page where all the details are. Forms will be handed out in the friendlies this weekend and need to be completed before the first league games. You can return the forms to Chris Richards or Jon Davies or you can even email your team to pontardawecricketclub@hotmail.co.uk .
Please everyone support this idea as it can raise some much needed funds but more importantly generate good team spirit and a bit of fun and banter
The fines system in use by the first team will now be also used by the second team. All money raised by these fines will be used on the last day of the season for all players to have a drink after the game. It has been suggested that we use half the money raised towards an end of season tour, if you think this is a good idea please let Dolby or Tidur know.
The Fines will be as follows:
Any member of the team scores a 100 everyone in the team pays £1
Any Member of the team scores a 50 everyone in the team pays 50p
Any Member of the team takes 5 wickets everyone in the team pays a £1
Anyone who drops a catch pays £1
Please Note that nets will continue over the Easter period so please make every effort to attend
Due to a request by certain members we have changed one of the questions in the player profile. The question about which club you would never play for has been replaced by the question, What music would you walk out to bat to. If you have already filled a profile, then please send me your answer to the new question. If you havent filled a profile out, then what are you waiting for.
Just a quick reminder that nets start this Sunday at Pontardawe Lesiure Centre. Also if you have ordered training kit this will be available from Dolby on Sunday when you part with your £22.50. Playing shirts are being emdroidered and wont be long.
A new Page has been added to the website " A Bit Of Fun" is anyone has any amusing stories, pictures or videos please email them to us.
